Despite initial signs of a viewership slump, Amazon's Prime Video reveals Fallout season two as its sixth biggest season ever, despite no specific figures being shared. The show's popularity has seemingly dipped compared to its first season, but Amazon remains confident in its success. Fallout's second season premiere and eight earlier episodes accumulated 794 million viewing minutes, a significant drop from the 2.9 billion viewing minutes of the first season's premiere week. Amazon's silence on specific viewership numbers has raised questions about the season's success, but the company has now revealed that Fallout season two is the top-performing season since Reacher season three, which debuted in February 2025. It's also Prime Video's sixth biggest season, behind the debut season and the first two seasons of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and Reacher's second and third seasons. Fallout Season 2 is currently ranked fourth among Prime Video's most successful returning seasons. Amazon's head of global TV, Peter Friedlander, expressed excitement about the show's global reception, noting that over half of the season's audience has come from outside the US. Despite the season's success, Amazon has already committed to a third season, with production set to begin on May 1, 2026. The company is also developing a reality show based on the Fallout games, where contestants will live in a real-life Vault. Fallout Shelter, a 10-episode series, is also in the works for Prime Video.
